Originally from Yokohama, Japan, Chihiro is a Juilliard-trained percussionist now based right here in Longmont. Chihiro has been lucky to play on some incredible stages — Broadway (Miss Saigon, West Side Story, Cinderella), the Metropolitan Opera, Carnegie Hall, and currently with the Longmont Symphony and Colorado Symphony. With over 20 years of teaching experience, she love helping students of all ages and levels discover what percussion can do. Chihiro also offer a bucket drumming class for older kids and adults — a fun, high-energy way to make music with nothing more than a bucket and some sticks! Nothing makes me happier than sharing the joy of music!
