We’re thrilled to host Chris Pureka at Butterscotch Studios once again! It’s rare for an artist to bridge the divide between critical acclaim and dedicated fan engagement, but Chris has done exactly that over the course of their 20-year career. The Portland-based singer-songwriter’s body of work has straddled folk, Americana, and indie rock, offering listeners bold vulnerability and songs that resonate with authenticity and depth.
Chris’s elegant emotionality as a vocalist and flair as a lyricist have drawn comparisons to Chan Marshall, Bruce Springsteen, and Patty Griffin. They’ve shared stages with artists like The Lumineers, Gregory Alan Isakov, Ani DiFranco, and Haley Heynderickx, while remaining fiercely independent on their own label, Sad Rabbit Records. With songs featured on television and in film, Chris’s music continues to strike a chord with fans around the world.
