General Agreement

By enrolling in any program, class, or event offered by Butterscotch Music Lessons and Art Studio ("the Studio"), students and their guardians (if applicable) agree to abide by the terms and conditions outlined below. The Studio reserves the right to update these terms at any time, with changes communicated to enrolled participants.

Community Guidelines

We are a proud women- and queer-owned space dedicated to fostering a kind and creative community.

By participating in the Butterscotch Studios community—whether in person, online, or via social media—you agree to uphold the values outlined below and contribute to a positive, welcoming environment. Violations of these community rules may result in discontinuing services without a refund, if applicable.

Communication

Everything is a conversation. Our team is here to support you and cheer you on! We aim to respond to all inquiries and questions within 2 days, but please be patient with us as we are a small team. We believe in fostering respectful and kind communication—between us, from us, and within the entire Butterscotch community.

Absolutely Zero Tolerance for Hate Speech and Bullying

Bullying of any kind is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate removal from the community and termination of membership (if applicable). Degrading comments or behavior targeting any race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, or disability will not be tolerated.

Respecting People's Privacy

Butterscotch Studios is a safe space for everyone. Please treat your fellow community members with kindness and respect their personal lives.

No Shame. No Judgement

This community exists to support and uplift one another. No creative idea is ever a bad idea—embrace the opportunity to try something new!

Media and Intellectual Property

Photography and Video: The Studio may take photographs or videos of classes and events for promotional purposes. By enrolling, students and guardians grant permission for such use unless explicitly stated otherwise in writing.
Student Work: Any music, art, or other work created by students remains their intellectual property. However, the Studio may request permission to showcase such works in its promotional materials.

Health and Safety

Illness: Students and guests experiencing symptoms of illness are asked to stay home to ensure the health and safety of all participants.
Emergency Procedures: In case of emergency, the Studio will contact the designated emergency contact listed during registration.

Form of Communication

The Studio primarily communicates updates, schedules, and other important information via email. It is the responsibility of the student or guardian to ensure the Studio has up-to-date contact information.

Termination of Enrollment

The Studio reserves the right to terminate a student’s and/or guest’s enrollment for violations of these terms or other reasons deemed necessary. In such cases, a prorated refund may be issued at the Studio's discretion.

Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado. Any disputes shall be resolved in courts located within Boulder County.
