A drop-in class for anyone curious about rhythm. We cycle through traditional rhythms from Mali and Guinea, one at a time, exploring how dundun, bell, and djembe parts weave together into a living, breathing groove. Less drilling, more feeling. Come ready to listen, lock in, and play.

This drop-in is all about connection and feel — less about drilling parts, more about understanding how everything flows together as one living system
We’ll cycle through a variety of West African rhythms from Mali and Guinea — with each class focusing on one rhythm at a time so we can really settle into it, feel it, and understand how it works
We’ll explore:
How the dundun and bell parts lock in
How djembe parts weave into the groove
Finding the downbeat and riding the pulse
