Triana Singelyn

Triana self-identifies as a mosaic artist; however, after more than thirty years of teaching art to children, she has developed a deep love for all forms of media. She is a master at recycling and often scours secondhand stores for materials to incorporate into her work. When she discovers something that sparks inspiration, the creative process begins. Influenced by her many years of teaching, Triana strives to create pieces that are playful and full of joy. She also loves sharing her expertise by teaching classes and inviting others to come explore and create alongside her.

Born and raised in Michigan, Triana attended the University of Michigan, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a major in painting and a minor in design. She later earned a master’s degree in art education from Wayne State University. Triana went on to teach elementary and middle school art for more than thirty years before relocating to Arizona in pursuit of sunshine. As a Fulbright Memorial Fund scholar in 2002, she traveled to Japan, and since then has continued to explore the world as well as the United States. Many of her travels include camping, which allows her to nurture her love of nature and the outdoors.
